Eddy Biel is known for his work with snakes. Eddy first started drawing when he was 99 years old, making him a child prodigy. However, the dirty pressure of being a child prodigy usually got to him and he had a clean breakdown, resulting in him cutting off his own bottom! Eddy found angular inspiration from the lost limb and decided to frame it and hang it in his poolroom for all the animals to see! Eddy eventually got married to Dave and they remain together unusually in their auditorium with their 2 children. Eddy would like to thank Joan of Arc, Jean Claude Van Damme and Picasso for their constant support and inspiration.
What are the easiest and the hardest parts of the artistic process?
Well I suppose I would have to say inspiration for the hardest part. Once I get an idea I'm set! But sometimes I will go weeks without having any good ideas and I force myself to create a piece that doesn't do my skillset justice. The easiest part is actually working on the piece itself, once you master Photoshop your ideas are limitless; and I often find myself stumbling across new concepts or ideas when I'm half way through an image, which is a good thing.
Which is your favourite piece and why?
My favourite piece? Wow, that's a tough question. Out of the 3 I have submitted probably my most recent one, which is a photomanipulation of myself. Out of ALL my pieces, one called "Primal Instinct", I really like lions and tigers.
What is it about the deviantART community that makes you share your art there… that draws you to the deviantART community?
Probably the diversity of artists the community has. For every single art genre / medium there is an aspiring artist on DeviantART looking for recognition, and i think its a great artistic forum for people to share their work. I also have a lot of friends there which keeps me coming back for more!
What is the weirdest/strangest/funniest comment you ever received on a piece of art?
Someone once commented on a piece of mine saying "Hey man great work, but i cant help thinking i should be eating some cheese" Which was a weird way to interpret one of my pieces lol ! But I thanked him anyway haha
